WAT PHO

Wat Pho AKA Temple of the Reclining Buddha is one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok that features the famous Reclining Buddha. The temple is only steps away from the Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace. The majestic statue measures more than 150 feet in length. The entire experience from entering the grounds of the temple to the building which houses the Reclining Buddha is absolutely jaw dropping. Photographs alone don't do justice compared to actually being there to witness its majestic beauty. Participate in the culture by buying coins to drop into 108 pots along the back wall while you slowly walk and meditate.

As you can probably see in my photo of myself, I am wearing a sarong provided by the temple over my Club Monaco dress. If you are in the same situation as me that day and did not have any long dresses or pants to wear to the temple, then it's not a problem at all. All of the temples in Thailand provide you  sarongs and shawls to cover yourself up before entering the house of worship.

Stay Fabulous
